International Fall Festival

Our International Fall Festival in the Children’s House was a day to celebrate children around the world.  The day provided the children with a wonderful opportunity to gain respect and understanding for other cultures. They learned that children of different cultures all like to play games, draw, love to sing and enjoy going to school.  

The children faces beamed with pride as they paraded to and from their performance.  The day was filled with song, games, square dancing and delicious multi-cultural snacks. 

For further investigation of children around the world we recommend the book "Children Just Like Me: A Unique Celebration of Children Around the World " by Barnabas Kindersley.  This book is a delightful, attractive look at children from around the world. The authors spent two years meeting and photographing youngsters from every continent and more than 140 countries.
