Brevard Montessori School Programs
Brevard Montessori is a not-for-profit alliance of parents and teachers devoted to providing the highest quality Montessori education. It is our mission to provide a learning environment for children that strives to follow the principles of Dr. Maria Montessori and to provide a nurturing community where children develop a love of learning and grow in the spirit of curiosity.
At this time, Brevard Montessori is offering the following Montessori programs.
A learning environment for Children 24-36 months
The Garden is a learning environment designed for children between the ages of 24 and 36 months of age. In the Garden there is emphasis on acquiring language skills and increasing vocabulary as well as personal hygiene (toileting, hand washing, nose blowing). The materials and activities in this environment are designed to aid the development of the child's movement, independence, language, stereognostic sense, and refinement of the child's hand. A learning environment for Children 3 - 5
The Children's House Montessori is designed for children between three and five years of age. During this time children are introduced to the Montessori classroom. They are presented lessons, have an opportunity to work with materials, listen to stories, participate in music activities, have snack and play in the outdoor environment.
Extended Day for the Pre-K age child is an extension of the AM Montessori program and will focus on the 3 to 5 year old child's social and physical development. Emphasis will be placed on refinement of motor skills and social interact

A learning environment for 4 year olds
The Children's House Montessori VPK is designed for children four years of age. During this time children are introduced to the Montessori classroom. They are presented lessons, have an opportunity to work with materials, listen to stories, participate in music activities, have snack and play in the outdoor environment.
Extended Day for the VPK age child is an extension of the AM Montessori program and will focus on the four year old child's social and physical development. Emphasis will be placed on refinement of motor skills and social interaction.

A learning environment for 5 year olds
Extended Day for the kindergarten age child is an extension of the AM Montessori program. Brevard Montessori adheres to the state of Florida age requirement of 5 (five), before September 1st in order for a child to be considered a kindergartner. The Extended Day Kindergarten program is designed to prepare the kindergartner for first grade. In the afternoon, the program will focus on story writing (using the movable alphabet), reading, advanced math, science, and geography.

Our Summer Camp program is geared to the size, pace, and interest of children between the ages of three and a half and seven years of age.
Our programs are designed to cultivate the child’s own natural curiosity and love of learning, as well as, enable each child to more fully develop his/her potential. It is the pledge of BMS to be philosophically based in the Montessori Method and maintain a learning environment that will meet the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs of the child.
