The Garden
A learning environment for Children 24-36 months
The Garden is a learning environment designed for children between the ages of 24 and 36 months of age. In the Garden there is emphasis on acquiring language skills and increasing vocabulary as well as personal hygiene (toileting, hand washing, nose blowing). The materials and activities in this environment are designed to aid the development of the child's movement, independence, language, stereognostic sense, and refinement of the child's hand. During this time children have an opportunity to work with the materials, listen to stories, participate in music activities, have snack and play in the outdoor environment. This program will help to prepare the child to transition into the Children's House.
